Media Player will not open.

Windows Media Player will not open running on XP Pro on a
high end notebook. No error message just beeps.

Reinstalled the software with no difference.

Any ideas or solutions as to how I can find out what is
going on.

Also, what version of the player is this? If its WMP9 you need to use
System Restore to remove it.
