Media Player internal error

While trying to run Media Player get-
"An internal application error has occured"

Installed latest release but get the same.

One site reccomends uninstalling and installing from
scratch, which is what I would prefer to do anyway.

Question- How do you uninstall Media Player?

I'ts not listed in "Add or Remove Programs" and cannot
find a stand-alone uninstall app.

Please don't try and uninstall it, just run the installer again.
