Media player 9 - no video for streaming media

One of the things I have come to enjoy with high speed
internet is the streaming media, movie and video game
previews, etc. But for some reason Media Player does not
play the video anymore for these things. I am completely
up to date as far as the newest version and add-ons.

Does anyone know of a common bug/fix that would repair
this for me?
