I installed a new Sony DRU-510A DVD burner on my PC. It plays music CD's
various video clips from CD's and reads/writes data OK. I used the Sony DVD
drive utility to check and verify the drives performances and all checks OK.
When I put a DVD movie in, WMP displays the following error message, Error
ID = 0xC00D116A. I've searched and found some information on the MS site but
none that solves the problem. Has anyone had similar problems??

Have you installed a DVD codec? XP does not natively play DVDs.

Media Player requires a third party DVD software
decoder. You DVD drive should have come with DVD Player
software. Install that. If not you will have to buy
WinDVD or PowerDVD.
