Media Player 11 & exclusive locks on CD drive

How do I stop MP11 from locking my CD drive? when trying to burn multiple
copies of CDs using say ImgBurn while playing MP3s from my hard drive, MP11
will lock the CD drive between burns and I have to exit MP to be able to burn
my next copy.

Is there any way to stop MP11 from gaining access to the CD? I am not using
the CD with MP11, so I see no reason for it to lock the drive.
