I cannot get Media Player to play a sound file. If I highlight an mp3
music file and click (open with) and direct it to media player, the
player opens up just fine, but there is no sound. It's like the thing
is muted. But I can see the bar moving and the vertical bar display is
working. There's just no sound.
It will play Internet videos but with no sound.
I know what you're thinking. The speakers aren't hooked up. Well, when
I open the same file in winamp, I hear the music just fine.
Am I missing maybe some simple dumb setting? I downloaded the latest
media player and re-installed it, but the problem remains.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
