media library management wizard

I am running Windows Xp Pro and have Windows Media 9 (for
XP) installed. I have also installed the Windows Media
Bonus Pack for XP, and want to use the Media library
management wizard.

However whenever i run it it tells me that it "works with
Windows media for XP only" !

Is there a copy of Windows Media Player I have missed or
can someone tell me what I need to do to resolve the
problem please.

Hi, Windows Media Player 8 is Windows Media Player for Windows XP. Windows
Media Player 9 is not designed to work with that.

Surely There is some backward compatability with 9 & 8 r
at least an update to the library manager... ?

What I want to do is extract the info in the library into
something else so I can print out some useful info.... and
the only other tool I have found is the Playlist import
ninto Excel, and that doesn' work with any version of
Excel below 2002 !

MS haven't made it very easy to it......

Anyone any ideas ?
