I am using Vista Ultimate and am having a problem with compact flash
card readers. When I attempt to copy files from any compact flash card
I get the error "The media in the drive may have changed". It will
copy about half the files from the card but the rest fail with the
error. I am attempting to copy files from a compact flash card written
by a Canon 20D camera. It happens with my internal card reader. It
also happens with an external usb card reader. It works fine on my 3
other Windows XP machines with the internal and external card reader.
I have turned off ready boost for the device, made sure the card was
secure, have all of my updates, etc. It seems to be a bug in the
driver.

I have found several other people in newsgroups that have the same
problem but no resolution. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't have it with me at the moment but I'm fairly certain that the
Canon 20D does format with FAT32. Is this an issue with Vista?

All my SD cards and external hard drives are FAT32 and they work fine with
VISTA.
