Media Disconnected problem with Wireless card

N

neuhausa

My friend's computer had lots of spyware and virus problems, all of
which are fixed. I'm trying to get a Linksys Wireless-G Notebook
Adapter with Speedbooster on a system running XP. I can connect to the
internet via a cable, but not through a wireless card. Whene I run
Start > Run> cmd > ipconfig the IP address for the Ethernet adapter
comes up as normal, but for the wireless connection, it says Media
State . . . . Media disconnected.

I ran WinsockxpFix but that has not solve the problem. All other
computers can connect to the wireless network.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jimmy
