Media Center Reciever Service

Keep getting Media Center Reciever Service is shutting down. Why?
Then it takes me to DEP. How do I make it quit doing this.
 
Have you recently installed any software?

I had the same problem. Turns out it was the installation of two old audio
editing programs. Uninstalling the programs did not help. I had to use System
Restore to roll back to the point before I installed the first of the programs
to correct the problem.
