Media Center PC's

I am thinking about buying the hp media center pc as a
standalone pc to connect to my 32" widescreen TV. I have 2
questions. What is the issue with Sky channels ie can I
view them with the media center pc? Secondly, I read a lot
about the inability to do tasks such as internet surfing/
word processing using the pc on a TV - how much of this is
true? Do you really need a HDTV/ plasma TV?

Finally, could we have a separate section for media center
discussions in the community newsgroups?
