MEDIA CENTER LOCKS UP

Bought a Gateway with Vista and Windows Media Center. Media Center has just
begun hanging up. I can load it, but when I go to TV for example and select
guide and select a channel, the hourglass circle just goes round and round
and will not load. It finally just locks up the program and goes to black
and I get the message that MEDIA CENTER has stopped running. Did the same on
videos. After video finished it locked up again.
Any help, any ideas. UNINSTALLED NAPSTER & MCAFEE as directed by Gateway,
but did not solve problem. Very frustrating after only 2 weeks of ownership.

Have only installed Vegas Editing software & DVD architect.

If the computer is that new, SEND IT BACK for replacement or repair.

When it comes back, try Media Center before installing any software at all.
If it works out of the box, then you install your software and it breaks,
you'll know what broke it.
