Mechwarrior Freeze up

Brian S

The computer was setup with Windows Xp Pro SP3 with hardware all the same.
Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries freezes up when creating a pilot. As soon as I
mouse over one of the faction names it freezes I have DirectX® 9c dxdiag said
no errors. I have a ATI Radeon 9000 and the onboard Via Audio. What can I do?

Other information about my computer is: a USB wired mouse, a USB wirerless
keyboard, Sailtek USB joystick, 2GB DDR RAM, 2.4GHZ Intel P4 CPU, Belkin
wieless adpter, Memorex DVR RW drive, and a Asus 52x CD drive.

Check on the respective web sites whether there are updated drivers for
Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries and ATI Radeon 9000. Also look for a forum for
Mechwarrior 4 Mercenaries and see if other users of the software have
encountered similar problems.

Hope this helps.

I suspect the creator of your application is desperately

trying to make his apps work under WXP , all the while

Bill Gates is trying to crash all software , the

Bill did not ceate/make $$ from ..

Allways install NON-MicroSoft device drivers , they are certainly

not Malicious , as all WXP drivers are !

Bill will try to stop all s/w , but his own . In the longest law
suit

in history , hundreds of buyers of WIN32 API are still SUING

MicroSoft cause the manuals decieved them , so their apps

would NEVER work under W98SE ...

S/W is easy if you dont copy others and learn from them .

There are 10,000 programmers who could write a good

25 MB totally integrated O.S.

for the PC in 48 hours ....

But they'd only sell one copy .

PC hardware is bloated , wastes too much power , The programmers

are creating on ARM pocket boxes like GP2X or NDSL ...

Their O.S. needs very little DRAM , small 80GB HDD ...

I have 4 GP2X's ,
2 "F100" 3.5 QVGA and
2 "F200" 3.5 QVGA

If i did no programming at all , merely used it as is ,,

w/ its FLASHED Linux 2.6 ,, It would be appreciated for

its USB Host ( 80GB HDD and USB Keyboard )

and JTAG ,, and RS232 to test my projects..

But new GP2X "Wii" has only 2.8" LCD
