ME to XP Home

Can anyone help ? I have just upgraded from ME to XP Home but seem to have lost the internet connection I had previously, there is a modem present but XP doesn't seem to recognise there is one. I'm scared that if I keep pressing buttons trying to configure etc then I'll really cause system problems

Thanks

Modems are cheap enough.. buying a new one that is supplied with XP drivers
will overcome your problem..

Hi

You may have to upgrade the modem driver from the manufacturer's web site.

Hello
Make sure you are configured correctly in the setup wizard, sometimes
retyping your ID & Password will work.

You will have to look in the device manager and see if your modem is present
and trouble free.
Right click My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager

That is a common problem when upgrading, modem and sound problems.
You might need to visit the manufacturers website and download the XP
drivers for your modem.
