Hello

I have created a 2003-2003 database in Access 2007, and have used the built
in tool to convert to a mde file. the problem is is that access 2003 will
not open the file, it says I need to upgrade to open the file. is there
anything I can do to rectify this?

Hi,

My impression of MDE's is that you can only create an MDE in the
version that you are using, in this case A2007, which means you would
need A2007 to open that MDE. I haven't used A2007, but instead A2003,
and it won't allow you to make MDE's in another file type than A2003.

HTH,

Franc.

When you create an mde, it creates it in the version you used to create it,
not the version of the file itself.
