Does any body know how to get windows visto to unblock mdb files so I can
open them? please help if you know

MDB means Microsoft Database and it is created by MS Access. If you don't
have Access, you can download a free viewer for any of the Microsoft Office
applications (Access, Excel, Power Point) at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/HA010449811033.aspx
I would suggest downloading the Access 2002 viewer first and if that doesn't
do the trick, try Access 2000 or Access 97.

Assuming you already have Microsoft Access installed:

Right-click the file and go to properties. You might see a newer section
towards the bottom:

Security: This file came from another computer and might be blocked to help
protect this computer.

Just click the Unblock button and you should be good to go.

Hope that helps, if not then we'll try again.
