Mcupdate dialog box error message

When opening my home page I got a dialog box "Mcupdate" claiming an illegal
operation was performed with detailed information. It said the operation must
be shut down and only offered one "close" button. After closing, the box
disappeared and the web page seemed to load normally. Cannot find "Mcupdate"
on any help search. Any ideas about this, cause, fix?
 
Mcupdate.exe is from McAfee VirusScan On-line. Automatically updates your
virus definitions. If you have McAfee anti-virus on your system, disable
your automatic virus def updates and see if that helps preventing that
error. If so, then post your issue to
