How are the Foundstone tools in comparison to Sysinternals tools?

Like the McAfee AV program and it's numerous hidden updates, will
Siteadvisor and the Foundstone tools put McAfee references all over my
registry (and in startup) necessitating me to contantly search the registry
or are they more benign?

I have no experience with the Foundstone tools but I do use quite a few of
the Sysinternal tools though.

SiteAdvisor does not put any entries in the registry.
It is a BHO (Browser Helper Object) and adds a small button in either
Internet Explorer or Firefox's toobar.
