McAfee, Trend Micro, or other?

Hi all

Ive got a bit over two months before I have to re-up my subscription for
NAV. Since Im using the 2001 version Im looking at a replacement. Ive been
reading the reviews and Im beginning to dislike them because they are all
over the place... almost. Some say NAV is still good, others hate it. Many
reviewers say McAfee and Trend Micro are pretty good. Those are all well
and good, but I would like to ask whether or not everyone here agrees.

Oh and one more question for everyone... Ive been using various
incarnations of Kerio for years, and I like it. In your opinion, how do any
of the firewalls included in the various internet security packages, like
those above, stack up against it?

Thanks... and Merry Christmas!

Since you have 2 months before you need to make a buying decision, do a
little home work. Start with:

http://www.claymania.com/nav-map.html

http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archives/products.xml?table

http://www.av-comparatives.org/

Make your decision taking into account your system/hardware
configuration, computing behavior and the product features which would
be desirable to you.

Kerio in use here for a long time. It's quite good. I prefer the
separate apps rather than those "suites". Stay lean.

Years ago, I was using the McAfee Office, on NT 3.51. I upgraded to NT
4.0, and McAfee said "Whoa! Can't install! You're using NT 4! You have
to buy a whole new version, and no discounts!" This was about a month
after I bought the suite. Bah.
Thanks... and Merry Christmas!

The same to you. (off to party in a little while)
