I get an error message when I use McAfee Antivirus that one or more\
windows are open, and therefore it cannot work. ALL OF MY WINDOWS ARE
CLOSED. Should I delete this anti virus program and download and
install another AV program? If I s/ fix this program, how?

Thank you.

Yes, do remove it and check out the following (rather check out the
following first, then remove);

F-Prot, gets a lot of great reviews by techies.
http://www.f-prot.com

NOD32, also gets a lot of great reviews by techies.

Actually it is Kaspersky and NOD32 in that order.
And this is not based on "techies", this is based upon experienced anti virus personnel who
test and use various AV applications.

What is the exact error message you get?

Thanks David, I said techies cause the comparison came out of a few computer
magazine reviews and articles, and I've used them both, I'll check out
Kaspersky I'm always looking for a better av program\suite.

Magazine and E-zines are skewed and biased but advertising $$.

You can get more information from the following News Groups.

alt.comp.virus
alt.comp.anti-virus

Ver. 3.0.0.572.

I forget the exact error message, but it shows an update of last
April, which, of course is way way too old.

McAfee VirusScan v3.x ?

Forget it !

Way too old. Remove it and install "other" AV software ASAP !
