Maxtor doesn't put that information on the drive?

This .PDF should help you determine if your jumper panel is Style A1, A2, B or C
and will show you jumper settings for each style. Look at Figure 6 on page 9.

On Maxtor's site there is a tool called MaxBlast it has lots of info
about the drive settings and diagrams too, also includes disk utilities such
as overlay etc.
