maximizing windows when opening program

Doug

when i open IE, windows explorer, or programs, the window
opens primarily in less than a maximized screen.

what determines the size of the window when a program
opens? and where do i modify the setting to open windows
in a maximized condition?

thanks

Just use your mouse and stretch the window to full size (do not use the
maximize button)and then click on File and then Close. This works for OE,
IE, Windows Explorer and some programs.
While the window will not truly be maximized only the same size as a
maximized one. To truly maximize, right click the shortcut, click
properties and change the setting in the Run: window from normal window to
maximize.

I was searching for an answer and I found this post and followed the instruction to maximize my window. I changed it from normal window to maximize and it did nothing to change it. My Mozilla browser open to full screen but I can't get IE to open to full screen.....do I need to reboot in order for this to take effect? Thanks, Kathy----- Norm wrote: ----
