Maximizing screen not using all of desktop

When maximizing applications some of our PC's do not maximize using the full
screen. There is about a 5% gap left that displays the desktop.

We have looked around on the Internet but to no avail.

Anyone else out there experience this problem and have a solution?

Many thanks,

Mark

This is so easy your going to kick yourself. After you open a window drag it
to the size you want then use File, Exit to close it (don't click on the red
X). When you reopen it da, da, da, correct size.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as that. I know the solution you have said
works mainly with IE, but in this instance there is NO resizing corner to
drag. The application thinks it has maximised correctly, and not included the
manual sizing options.
Without these we cannot manually stretch it.

That is why I am so stuck on this one!!

Thanks

it is mainly Word, but it is very intermittent. Its definitely nothing to do
with the monitor setup as you can see the desktop or other applications
behind it.

We are running Word 2003 as part of Office 2003 Pro. I suspect there is a
key somewhere that is being corrupted.

Thanks

Mark
