Maximized??

On startup my Main form opens with a Maximize Macro.On
several other forms I have DoCmd.Restore. When I open a
form from a button on the main form, the main form shrinks
to a normal size window and stays at that size which
leaves a gray edge along the top. Can this be stopped.

You might try the DoCmd.MoveSize on the Open event or your Main form.
