Maximize, minimize and close missing

I am not sure why, but suddenly on certain files - the maximize, minimize and close button is missing. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for it. I am running excel 2003.

I didn't realize that when I protected the sheet, those buttons became
unavailable. As soon as I removed the protection - they were back!!
:)

Well, I figured it out. Just needed to turn off the protection!!
