math within a form document

I created a travel voucher form for my IT department,
which got adopted as the official form. At the moment, my
organization's users are adding figures via paper and
pencil, or entering the data in a spreadsheet and then
entering the data and results on the official form for
reimbursement. This is error prone on one hand and double
entry on the other. Is it possible to add the columns and
then the rows in the form? I know only minimal macros.
(Tab set; testing for results in a check box).

If the voucher is a table, you can use the = (formula) field to sum the data
(Table | Formula). If there will always be data in every cell, you can use
=SUM(ABOVE), but blank cells will make the total incorrect. For more
information on this, see Word's Help topic "Field codes: = (Formula) field."
