Master HDD error- help please

Hi,
I deleted a boot sector virus and now can`t boot up atall.
Have tried booting from cdrom but that dosn`t work.

The first screen i get tells me that i have a `master hdd error` and to
press f1 to resume.
When i do this i get
"Boot failure Reboot and select proper boot device"

Any advice appreciated.

Hi,

Change the boot order in the BIOS to see the hard drive first. Then boot the
CD and load the Recovery Console by hitting "r" when prompted. From the
prompt, run fixmbr.
