Have you looked in the Help? There's a procedure there.

John - in Word 2007? I can't find anything about master documents. have they
renamed the feature?

although reading the very negative threads about it from 2005, perhaps they
have scrapped it altogether?

cheers
Brianna

Hi =?Utf-8?B?cGZjdGRheWVsaXNl?=,

It's still there. You have to go into the Outline view, first. Then the
Outlining tab will be added to the Ribbon. In that tab you'll see a "Master
Document" group.

Not very helpful John. Seaching for "Master Document" or "Subdocument" in
Word 2007 results in a null set.

I would ask you: Where in Word Help is this procedure you recommend?

By Golly, John, the OP is absolutely correct... There isn't word 1 about
Masters & Subs in Help. I even did a search on Outline View & came up dry :(
Somebody's gonna have He!! to pay!

To the OP: Have a look here -

By far one of the most arrogant and un-helpful, and ill informed replies I
have ever seen on a corporate feedback site. At least the Adobe folks sound
like they give a crap if and when they're unsure of an answer. If you're an
MVP, I find the label dubious since there isn't a single reference to master
document(s) in the Help feature as others in this post have indicated. Thanks
to the woman from Switzerland!
