master controller windows 200 server domain fails

I have a windows 2000 server controller and an aditional controler domain,
recently my master raid 5 fails on two of tree hard disk in master controller
domain server, I have not an up-to-date backup of master domain controller
server and I need to know if I can promote my aditional controller domain
server to a master controller domain server in order to sustitute the master
services. I do have two more servers, an exchange server and a sharepoint
server, that depends on the master controller domain server too.
Is My only solution to create another master domain server with a new domain?

The answer depends on what you did to plan for a failover.
Does this second DC have DNS server and also holds a copy of the Global
Catalog?

If not, to my knowledge, you will be rebuilding your forest from scratch.

If it contains the GC and DNS all you have to do is seize the FSMO roles. A
google search will tell you how to do that.
