My master boot record recently got currupted so I am using a boot disk I made
to startup my computer. How do I fix my master boot record? Note that I can't
use fixboot because I don't have a Windows XP CD. Compaq only gave me a
reformat cd :(

Please help :S

I am using: Windows XP Home Edition w/ SP2

Eddy, if your boot disk has fdisk on it at the A: just type fdisk
/mbr You can get bootdisks at www.bootdisk.com if
you need one with fdisk on it. Get a Win98 disk.

Eddy, go here and download fdisk. Then just copy and paste it on your
floppy boot disk. If you don't have room just
create another bootable floppy and paste fdisk on it. When you format the
new floppy just check the box that says
Create a msdos startup disk.
