MASSIVE ERROR MESSAGES

Hey, my computer crashed and as usual I went for the "let's delete the
partitions create new ones and format" approach. Keep in mind that I
have a Dell Dimension 8200. This was the scenario:

1: Turned on the computer with no discs inside and got the following
message "windows could not start because the following file is missing
or corrupt: \windows\system32\config\system you can attempt to repair
this file by starting eindows Setup using the original steup CD-ROM.
Select 'r' at the first screen to start reapir."

Had the bright idea of formating!

2: Turned off the computer

3: Inserted the Windows XP CD

4: Turned on the computer (My boot order has CD as the first option)

5: Then got the following message "CDboot: couldn't find NTLDR" and
brought me back to the first message (Which I assume was when it tried
booting from the Hard Drive again)

6: Then I turned the computer back off and I pressed F12 at the main
screen to check my Boot order and it was 1. CD 2. HD 3. Floppy

7: Then I turned off the computer again and at the main screen pressed
F2 to check the BIOS

8: I got the intriguing message:
"Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A03
Copyright 1985-1988 Phoenic Technologies Ltd.
Compyright 1990-2001 Dell Computer Corporation
All Rights Reserved

Dell Sustem Dimension 8200
www.dell.com

Keyboard failure
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility"

9: Then my keyboard freezes and I get back to the computer being turned
off

Keep in mind also that I can't get into my Dell in any way and I am
currently at my laptop, any suggestions?

What's your question? The machine has apparently had a major hardware
failure. Call Dell tech support for repair/replacement. If the machine
isn't under warranty, ask them how much it will cost to replace the
motherboard. If it is $500+, consider replacing the machine. Pull the hard
drive and slave it in a working machine if you need to retrieve data.
