I was wondering, i have a list of maybe 6500 business contacts and the info in all of them is incorrect - the telephone field needs to be split up but its not that simple.
At the moment the whole phone number is in one field - Business Phone - some have () around the area code others dont and some dont even have the code.
I want to be able to search by area code and i want my information to be correct.
How can i create a script or a sql command to fix that based on a rule set - as in take the first 3 didgits wether its in perenthasis or not and move it to the area code section but only if there are more than 7 numbers in the Phone number field ?
