I use FP 2002. I also use a url forwarding service. I need to build the
links in my shared border as described below but I see no way to do that
with the "modify link" tool in FP. Is there a way to set the links as
thus?: "...ensure that all your links are relative, not absolute. For
example...Instead of linking to:
http://home.att.net/~evenstephen/FishRecipes.htm, Link to here instead:
FishRecipes.htm Our server will automatically add
http://www.evenstephen.com resulting in the following:
http://www.evenstephen.com/FishRecipes.htm"

sure, just right click the link, select hyperlink properties and enter what
you want in the field of the bottom of that box.

If you make web sites for other people, you should check out ContentSeed:

I did that---but after closing the box and checking the link, by default FP
has re-instated the "http:..." in the link.

When you create your navigation structure, FP is creating relative URLs to your pages. To do what
you want, you will not be able to use the FP Navigation components, you would have to manually
create and manage your hyperlinks.

Have you ever saved the page and shared border files? When you do so,
the links will (usually) revert to
relative links - if the page has never been saved they will be
absolute, since FP has no idea where the page will be saved to.

I've done that, but when I click OK and close out the box and check the
link, FP has re-entered the "http://home.att..., etc. How do I get around
that? Thanks.
