Marketing Campaign is erroring out (massively)

Userunfriendly

Almost any function attempted with Marketing Campaign is failing with the
famous "Business Contact Manager for Outlook could not complete your last
task"

I did all the recommended fixes, like running Outlook as Administrator.
(Windows 7 Professional, Outlook 2007, BCM SP2, connecting to shared database
on SQL 2005)

We thought it was permissions, so we made the user sysadmin for all
databases on the server.

I did all the recommended fixes, like running Outlook as Administrator.
(Windows 7 Professional, Outlook 2007, BCM SP2, connecting to shared
database
on SQL 2005)

We thought it was permissions, so we made the user sysadmin for all
databases on the server.

We were trying both to save and publish a Marketing Campaign. After talking
to Microsoft, it turned out doing an export and import back into BCM, or a
save BCM database and restore, fixes the problems. Korey at Microsoft was
exceptional. We believe the problem was caused by deleting user defined
fields linked to data.

Unfortunately, now we have a different problem, where associations, for
example, if a prospect is assigned to a user, that information is lost after
a backup BCM and restore. After Banging My Head On My Desk, I'm now working
with Vijay at Microsoft on this new issue.

I really hate my life sometimes.

I did all the recommended fixes, like running Outlook as Administrator.
(Windows 7 Professional, Outlook 2007, BCM SP2, connecting to shared

We thought it was permissions, so we made the user sysadmin for all
databases on the server.
