Do you mean "console administration" rather than "console application?" I
have a real need for console administration and I've seen Sean Liming's
article:
http://www.seanliming.com/Docs/NTE_SCA_for_XPE.pdf
which describes a method that depends on borrowing pieces from NT Embedded.
Has anyone implemented this component who is willing to share? Is there a
licensing problem in making this component generally available to XPe users?

Luke,

No, the "Concole Application" is not the "Console Administration". It's
actually a powerful command-line tool that enables developers to script and
automate many of the functions provided by the Embedded Studio Tools,
including creating, modifying and building configurations, importing
components, and researching component relationships. You can find more about
what's inside the Feature Pack inthe our connect site after you sign up. The
instructions on how to sign up are available on our team blog site:
http://blogs.msdn.com/embedded/archive/2006/07/10/660998.aspx.

Please file a feature request bug through our connect site for the "Console
Administration" component. That way, the whole development team will see the
request and address it.
