"Mark Partition Active" choice no longer available

Marc Samuels

When I go to Disk Management on my Windows 2000 Advanced
Server, it shows that my new drive "F:" = "Disk 2"
= "motherboard disk controller 1 Slave" as containing
the "active" partition. The original "active" partition
resided on "C:" = "Disk 0" or "motherboard disk controller
0 Master" with "system" before I had a Seagate app fail
during its attempt to copy compressed files to what needs
to become my replaced system and active partition. How
can "Mark Partition Active" be selected again for "C:"?
Thanks so very much.

This post doesn't make much sense but you can start the recovery console and
from the command prompt;
fixboot C:
to change the active partition to C:\
