Margin problems

I am trying to restore word to the original margin settings, but I get the
following message: "Increasing right margin causes last column to become too
narrow in some sections having unevenly spaced columns." This is a new
document without columns! How do I restor the margins without this alarm
message?

I tried to find the normal.dot file as described, but my system is not
finding it, even after I clicked the box for "Show hidden files and folders"
and deselected "Hide file extensions for known file tyes." Is there another
way? Thanks so much for your help.

In Word, click on Tools | Options | File Locations. Note the
folder designated for "User Templates". That is where you will
find the normal.dot file.

I finally found the normal.dot file! It was in:
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\templates

And I followed your instructions, and the problem is fixed! You're a
genius--thanks so much! I never would have figured this out on my own.

Thanks,
Bonnielee
