Mapping shares from one server with multiple accounts

Hi,

I logged in to my XP machine using the domain account using UserA and got my
home drive which has the full path \\MyServer\ShareA. Then I tried to map
\\MyServer\ShareB using UserB which has more privileges than UserA but got
the following error:

"The network folder specified is currently mapped using a different user name
and password. To connect using a different user name and password, first
disconnect any existing mappings to this network share."

Is there a workaround for this? I need to do this because UserA with which I
logged in with doesn't have privileges to map \\MyServer\ShareB.

Thanks a lot.

You could start a child process as UserB, using runas.exe. This
will give you access to ShareB from within this child process but
not outside.

Each user can only connect to a server with one set of credentials at a time
- Though they can connect to multiple servers with differing credentials.
That's they way it works.

There is no equivalent of the Win9x ability to set passwords on individual
shares, if that's the kind of setup you're looking-for.
