Mapping keyboard commands to game controller

I have Wolfenstein ET on my windows 2000 system and this
game only supports keyboard and mouse commands. I have a
Playstation controller hooked up to the computer through a
Radioshack PSX to USB converter and it seems to work fine
as a game controller. I use about about 6 keyboard
commands and mouse movement with the left and right
buttons most often and would love to be able to map these
onto the game controller joystick and function buttons.
How could this be accomplished? Is there already canned
software out there to do this?

Hey guys, I did find a freeware utility called JoytoKey
which seems to work quite well with my setup. I
downloaded it from a site selling another brand of PSX to
USB converter but the freeware utility doesn't seem to
care what brand converter you are using. I downloaded it
from http://www.levelsix.com/downloads.shtml. I have the
PS2 controller in analog mode. I am using the left
joystick for mouse control and the triangle, circle, X and
square buttons for forward, back and side to side. R1 I
have mapped to mouse1 and R2 to mouse2. L1 is Enter and
L2 is F2. I use the start and Select buttons for Escape
and command map. The button on Joystick1 I use for Jump
and the button I use on Joystick2 is prone. Joystick2
itself is non functional. One tip I have is once you have
loaded JoytoKey.exe and configured Joystick1 for the mouse
movement and R1 for Left mouse button and R2 to Right
mouse button, go ahead and open ET and go to configure the
controls. Once there move to the movement section and
highlight the forward movement with your now functioning
controller and press the triangle button on the
controller. You will see the correct function loaded in
that selection automatically. Repeat this for the other
applicable buttons on the controller.

Of course, all other functions you still need to use the
keyboard for. You can have JoytoKey.exe load in the
startup menu and it displays an icon on the task bar for
quick configuation changes if you wish. Your keyboard and
mouse are still fully functional with this utility running.

Us PS2 guys need to start kicking some ass in ET to get
some respect. Good Luck.
