Mapping Fields between Excel & Outlook

I have an Outlook task list in which I added (2) user defined fields; JAD
Phase & JAD Seq. I have no problems exporting the Task list into an Excel
file. However, when I import the Excel file back to the Outlook Task list, I
cannot find the user defined Outlook fields JAD Phase & JAD Seq. The only
fields available are the default fields that come with Outlook Tasks. I can
always drag the user defined field and map it with one of the Outlook
standard fields, but that defeats the purpose and the data doesn't relate to
the field name. If anyone can help, I would appreciate the effort. Thank You,

Outlook does not support importing to custom fields. You would need to write your own import code or use a third-party tool. See http://www.outlookcode.com/d/customimport.htm
