Hi

I have a windows 2000 domain and a unix box running hp-ux
10.2 on a 800 series g50 ip (10.1.1.3). I have shared
folders on this server, i have manually put entries in
both wins and DNS wich resolve G50 to 10.1.1.3. I want to
map drives but i cant use the name g50 i have to use its
IP address, is there any way of mapping drives to a unix
box using a name not its ip other than creating a host
file on each pc that needs a mapped drive.

Thanks

Have a look at C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
