Mapping component problem in FP2003

Using the mapping component, I'm trying to place a link in page that points to a map on the MS Maps site. The component seems to be generated properly, except that the URL it creates points straight back to the page in which the link is embedded, rather than at the MS site. The result is that whenever the link is clicked, a new window opens with an identical page.

Has anyone encountered this problem before?
