We have a domain with about 300 users connected. lately a few (around 4) of
our users have been having problems with one of their mapped drives.
All users have a "J" drive mapped to their personal directory on the server
for example the J: drive for user JhonL would be "\\Domain_Name\users\JhonL"

But every now and the a few users have the problem that after login their J:
drive points to "\\Domain_Name\users\" This causes quite some problems since
a lot of programms use files located in the J: drive.

When this problems occurs simply rebooting the PC solves the problem. most
of the time Disconnecting and reconnecting the drive also works. So we have a
work around, but we are still lokking for a real solution.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or what is causing this?

Hi SHivan,

How are you creating the drive mappings. Script or Batch file? If so, post
the file contents here.

No idea then. Perhaps you can try this in Windows Server / AD groups?
