mapped drive on computer that needs to come out of hibernation

HI there i hope that you can help me. I have a machine in another room that
uses it's power saving facility to go into hibernation. However when i try
to connect up to a mapped drive and wake the computer up, the attempt times
out. I can later on try and succeed so obviously the old machine takes too
much time to come out of hibernation. I am sure there must be a kind of
timout figue somewhere which i can adjust to get my fast machine to wait that
little bit longer before telling me that the device is out of service.

Can anybody tell me how to change these network setting to enable enough
time for my old machine to fullly wake up before other machines react by
timing out.

Hi
Hibernation means that the computer is Off and it RAM was save to a file.
If a computer is Off it needs a special setting to Wakeup,
http://www.ezlan.net/WOL.html
If you misused the term Hibernation and actually you are talking about
Standby.
Make sure that the Power Saving of the network card is Unchecked (I.e. No
Power Saving), and or any other component that is network related is Not
going to sleep.

Thank you for your reply, however i am already aware that the machine is off.
I am aware that the machine does wake up whenever i try to access one of
it's resources. My problem is that the machine takes a while to load itself
back into RAM and all I want is to know how to enable, on the client machine
a longer time out so that the client machine waits enough time for the server
to start up and respond.
