Dear Sirs/Madams,

I've got a problem that I am using the Windows XP Pro, office 2000.
Logon to the server 2003(NAS), 3 mapped drive created using the login script
..bat
Then I open the excel file and working . After some time, when I save this
file in network drive, it cannot find the mapped drive and unable to save.

Any solution ?

Thank you for your help.

Run the following command on the file server

net config server /autodisconnect:-1

That will disable the autodisconnect "feature" in Windows 2000/XP/2003 file
servers.

Hi,

I have got a similar problem of the mapped drives getting disconnected
when idle for sometime. Hope the suggestion from Rodney helps. Will let
you know.

Also, similar thing happens for other domain users as well. The mapped
drives just disappears/disconnects. In such cases, I have to run the
LoginScript.bat on the user's machine to map them again. Any ideas, why
this unmounting? Is there any windows server default settings that
disconnects the mapped drives when idle or not communicating for long?

~r~
ps: we have windows 2000 servers!
