Does anyone familiar with mapPoint know of a way to determine what census
tract a location is when an address is provided?

Dont know exactly how because I dont have the SDK on my machine anymore, but
I beleive it is possible.

Yes, this should work indirectly. You may have to map a demographic by
tract, draw a shape around the area, and then QueryShape or Export to
Excel.
