Hi All,

I find myself in an unusuall situation in that i have a home network of 4
computers which are connected via a wireless router.

All the computers can ping one another without any problems but i am unable
to map from a (server 2003 machine) to one of the (Windows XP machines) on
the network. The only thing different in the setup is that the Server is on a
domain and the XP machine is in a Workgroup.

The network layout is as follows...2X Server 2003 machines, 2 Windows XP
machines, IP address range 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.150.

Has anyone come accross this problem before.

Kind Regards.

How are you trying to map shares? In Explorer? My Computer?
Via the Command Prompt? What happens when you try? What
messages to you see on the screen?

Hi Pegasus,

I am mapping the shares via --> My Computer --> Tools --> Map Network drive.

The error i get is "The drive could not be mapped because no network was
found".

Thanks for the reply.

Start with the basics and run this command on the problem server:

ipconfig /all > c:\test.txt

Now post the contents of c:\test.txt in your reply.
