Just installed MS Office Professional Edition 2003 and cannot open MS Outlook.

How do I fix this problem?

You have left out a larger portion of the problem.

Did you just uninstall Office 2007 Beta? Telling us the whole story gets you a faster and better answer, not just telling us what you think we should know.

Find your msmapi32.dll file and rename it msmapi32.old, then start Outlook
again. It will recreate a new one and it should work fine.

I uninstalled Office 2007 Beta which was over the old Office 2003. I removed
everything and went back to the old Office 2000 and then updated to Office
2003. The same thing happened. Everything works except Outlook and it still
says Corrupt or wrong version.

I have the same issue and renaming msmapi32.dll doesn't work for me. It just
prompts me for a CD, which of course I don't have.
