Many registry warnings. Are they significant ??

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone has seen these warnings in the even viewer. I'm
getting alot of them. Are they significant ? Do I need to fix these ?
What are they ?

"Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications
or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services
that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.
1 user registry handles leaked from

(event id: 1530, source: user profile services, user: system)

I have no idea what's causing them. If anyone has any insight on this, it
would be quite helpful. Sincerely,

Paul

I've seen this in Vista, but until the User Profile Cleanup program is
updated for Vista I don't know of a fix.

BUT, the common workaround that I use is to create a new User Account and
transfer the documents over to it.

FWIW - I haven't seen any serious problems with this error when it's the
only issue. Other problems may affect it tho', so it's best to thoroughly
check it out.

Do you know when the User Profile Cleanup program for Vista would be ready?
I just wonder...

There's been no hint that this is even being worked on. The Vista user
account operates differently and contains significantly more than did its
predecessors, a complete revamp of the utility would likely be necessary
should corruption of the user profile become a common problem. At the moment
I don't know that it is, and I've seen nothing to indicate that an update to
that program is even being considered.
