Many Programs Don't Initialize for Limited User- How to fix?

I have the "administrator" Windows user account on my computer. I share the
computer with my friend who had "limited" Windows user account access.
Norton Anti-Virus, AOL, and Abode Reader run well on my Administrator user
account. They don't initiialize any more on the other user account. All 3
programs ran updates recently. Obviously, the two user accounts are out of
sync. Temporarily, my friend is using my user account till I can fix the
problem. I tried making both accounts "administrators" but that didn't work.
How can I get both user accounts to work with Norton, AOL and Adobe?

One thing to try for your issue is to do a system restore to before the
problem started. Otherwise I don't have anything else specific to suggest.

Two of the programs you mention are problematic - Norton Home security
products and AOL. You would be much better off without either of them.
Norton is a resource hog under the best of circumstances. There are other
products that are less resource heavy and work better.

If you want suggestions for replacements many folks here will offer them.
